NEVER attempt to initiate, make, or effect any type of "private" or "citizens" arrest of anyone who is wanted. You could jeopardize your personal safety, the safety of others and you could subject yourself or others to substantial civil liability as well as criminal prosecution as a result of your or their actions.
If you recognize an individual and have information on where that person might be found notify the local agency or the nearest field office of the federal agency who wants that individual. THE POLICE NEVER make an apprehension of any wanted person without first confirming the validity and authenticity of any outstanding warrant. These agencies officers are also trained in serving warrants.
All information contained in an arrest warrant is public information and can be obtained by calling your State or Federal Court. The Windham Police Department will not post indivduals who are wanted. Several area police departments Wanted web page(s) or telecasts have resulted in civil lawsuits for various reasons. Unfortunately, the cost of civil litigation out weighs the need to post wanted individuals on our web site.
